San Diego is a bigger county than most people realize.
The wedding venue is in North County, where we'll be spending most of our time! It is about a 40-60 minute drive (depending on traffic) from the San Diego International Airport and also about a 25 minute drive inland from Carlsbad/Oceanside. We want to give you the opportunity to stay closer to the ocean if that is something you want to take advantage of if traveling to sunny San Diego!
Kerry and Eric will be staying in Oceanside/Carlsbad for most of the weekend leading up to the wedding.
With that said, here are some recommendations for hotels closer to the venue. Many people we have talked to are thinking of renting an Airbnb in the area, but hotels are a great idea, too!
There are also a lot of hotels in downtown Escondido less than a 10 minute drive to the wedding venue. Downtown Escondido is a cute town with many shops, breweries, and restaurants!
