Kenny and I met in the summer of 2011 when he gave me and one of my friends a ride home after we'd been roller-blading around town all day. Kenny's best man, Kyle (who I had known before agreeing to accept the ride home), was with Kenny in the car and introduced us. For the rest of the summer Kyle, Kenny, my friends and I hung out quite often and that's when we really got to know each other! By the time school had started in the fall, Kenny and I were spending as much time as possible together. Between then and now, we never lost touch with each other and here we are, a decade later....
One of my friends is a photographer and she had asked me one day if Kenny and I would be willing to model as a couple for a shoot. I thought, well of course Kenny is going to say no to this... but to my surprise he agreed, reluctantly. For the entire week leading up to the scheduled shoot, Kenny complained and played it off as he normally would. Little did I know, he was the one that planned the whole thing so that the proposal was all caught on camera. The best part of the whole proposal was when he told me that the center stone of my engagement ring is from his Grammie's wedding ring because I know how special she is to him.
