We're getting married!

In 2016, Nicole and Robert were just two eighth graders — young, unsure of the world, and completely unaware that they had just met the person who would change their lives forever. On December 6th, 2016, after school, Rob anxiously sent a text to Nicole that seemed simple at the time: “Would you want to go out with me?” The answer was an easy, lighthearted “sure.” Neither of them knew that one small word would become the beginning of a love that would carry them through nearly a decade of growing up — and growing together. They didn’t just fall in love. They grew up side by side. Nicole and Rob finished middle school together, then high school — navigating first dances, exams, dreams for the future, and the bittersweet feeling of becoming adults. As life began to stretch for them in new directions, they made the choice over and over again to stay steady for each other. After high school Nicole made the decision to move to Cincinnati to pursue nursing school, it was one of their first big leaps into adulthood. There were long days, hard exams, and moments of doubt. While Nicole was working on her nursing degree, Rob was building his own path, stepping confidently into his future. But even during that busy, challenging season, they took another leap — they moved in together while Nicole was still in nursing school, learning in real time what it meant to build a home and a life side by side. Through every late-night study session and every exhausted evening, Rob’s belief in Nicole never wavered. Soon enough, they were fully settled in Cincinnati — continuing the life they had already begun creating together. They signed a lease, adopted a sweet cat, traveled together, built routines, chased goals, and learned what it truly means to build a life as partners. For nine years, Nicole and Rob have chosen each other through every season: awkward teenage years, big moves, new jobs, milestones, and everything in between. They grew up together. They built a life together. And now, they get to promise forever to each other. Nicole and Robert can’t wait to start this next chapter — husband and wife — surrounded by the people who have supported and loved them along the way.
