Best Man
Matt is the Groom's younger brother. I met Matt 27 years ago when he was born, obviously. We share an avid love for sports, mostly hockey even though I can’t skate at all. We try to attend as many Minnesota Wild games as possible. When we were growing up we played with our Brio Train set, played floor hockey in the basement with a spongy ball, played video games to see who was better at whatever sporting game we played still do that to this day. Cannot forget bowling, Matt and I fell in love with bowling with a passion. I blame our grandpa Joe, who has passed on, for the love of bowling. We would go bowling all the time with him. He would act like our coach pointing out every little thing we did wrong. Matt and I bowled in Junior league together, High School league together, on a team with a bunch stranger at The Mermaid in 2019, which we took second place, and just recently a Tuesday night adult league at Sun Ray Lanes in Maplewood, Minnesota. We took fourth place. Matt has always been the better bowler between us two but I find way to beat him every once in a while.

Where to start!! This lady has been by my side since the day I was born! Even though we are cousins we have always referred to each other as sisters. I remember the countless hours at our family cabin swimming in the lake, family vacations, hiking and camping trips, her holding my hand on the first day walking to school in 6th grade together because I was scared to cross the busy street. And then in high school we shared countless "floor parties" in the mornings before class where we laughed, cried and became apart of it! I can even claim that I went to Prom with my cousin (we both had our respective dates but we ignore that fact lol). She has always supported me and been there for me when I was sad, down and needing a friend (even if it meant coming over so my mom would give her chores to do!) I cannot imaging anyone standing next to me! Karli I love you and you're stuck with me lol

Nick and I have been friends for 20 years. We have been friends since 3rd grade, as I remember it Nick came up to me one day in class, smacked me and asked to be friends. Of course, I said ok and here we are 20 years later.

Holland met Abby on one fateful day our Freshman year of college. It was move in day and Holland showed up with everything but the kitchen sink (in typical Holland fashion), her parents and her best friend Leah. She walked in the door and her life changed forever! The day started with giggles and smiles as all the girls in the dorm room put away all of their belongings and said goodbye to their parents. As the room turned sad that their people left the gang decided we would head to a Freshman mixer down on the quad. We were standing in line chatting with other freshmen about how no one would know who we are and that we would only be known as the 'roommate'. To this day we are still proving that wrong! There have been nights out, nights in, dog sittings, trips, phone calls, midnight grocery runs to avoid people, the dishes war of 2014 and many other adventures! We have been friends since sept 2013 and that is not changing anytime soon! Thank you for always helping out (even with Zach's proposal and picking out the ring!) and always being there for me!!

Zach and Zach met through the bride when they worked together at Fedex in 2018. Last year we had friends’ weekend at the cabin Zach and I were sitting at the table in the garage drinking Smirnoff Red, White and Blue coolers while we watched the Little League World Series. Another favorite memory of ours is we went on a road trip to Chicago with Holland. She was meeting a friend from France who lives in North Carolina. While they did their own thing over the weekend me and Zach attended a Chicago Blackhawks game. What a fun experience that was.
Leah Jaqua

LJ is one of my oldest friends! We have been neighbors (and more) our whole lives, running up and down the streets barefoot, and eating dinner at every stop! We spent summers going to the beach, shopping, jumping on the trampoline, bothering her brother David and the other neighbors and, trying to make new recipes or our own nail polish, seeing movies and dancing the nights away in the front yard. As we grew older we started to venture out of the neighborhood more and more, further beaches, bigger malls and grander adventures! Although we are not in the neighborhood much these days we still get together as much as we can! Trying out funky new restaurants (with AMBIANCE) or spending our afternoons working out of a coffee shop just chatting and giggling away! Leah is one of my biggest inspirations in life- she loves and cares deeply for those around her, is always looking for the next big adventure and is a total BADASS!!! She is not allowed to NOT stand next to me!

What can I say about this guy. He is something else weird, quirky always gets me to do stuff I'm not really comfortable doing. I met Dalton 7 years or so ago. He has been an awesome friend through-out the years I can count on him for anything.
Hannah Mielke

Hannah is one of Zach's cousins. She is fun loving, quirky, caring, true to herself and an all around genuine person with such a welcoming smile. This is why I love her so much! I have never once felt unwelcomed or like I didn't belong. Back before Zach proposed, the whole family got together for another wedding and while we were at the cool kids table Hannah and Jaimee were so excited for when Zach and I were going to get married. They wanted to be involved and help in any way they could, it meant the world to me that you guys were so excited for us. That night we also broke it down on the dancefloor and I felt like I had met my people, the crazy props we had out there and the giggles that I'm sure were heard by everyone are ingrained in my brain as one of our favorite moments. I look forward to many more get togethers (especially cousin game nights!!), endless theater trips, and limitless dance parties!!

Benjamin is the groom’s oldest cousin. He loves his music. In high school he played the drums in their band called Zero's Heroes. He has also played in bands called The Filthy Animals and 29 Fingers. Currently he is in a band called Susan B. Anarchy and is a Co-Owner of Lady and the Beard which he owns with his current girlfriend Samantha located in South Minneapolis.

Jaimee is also one of Zach's cousins. And I want to say first of all - IM IN LOVE WITH HER HAIR, EVERY FREAKING TIME!!! The time you said you were turning into a smurff because the blue was staining your scalp and hands at first I was rolling with laughter!! Second the reasons that I want her standing next to me are very similar to previously stated reasons- the honest excitement you had to the idea of Zach and I getting married (I vividly remember the mention of wanting to join in on cake tasting haha), and the dance party we had. I love the way she brings laughter into the room, the care she shows for her family, for her cats Chevy and James Bond, and the families she works with- even if she is not getting paid there is just genuine care for them. As soon as Zach proposed I knew she was someone I wanted next to me. I am also thankful for the research for dress colors, and bachelorette parties shenanigans, she is always so willing to help out and hang out!

Taylor and I met through Hollands cousin Karli 5 or so years ago. You could say Taylor and I have bromance. He loves hockey but unfortunately we do not see eye-to-eye on the same teams. He attended college at Northern Michigan University where he became a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs for some reason. Holland and I took him and his now wife Karli to a Minnesota Wild game when they faced off against the Maple Leafs for his birthday in 2018, I've never had so much fun at hockey game.

This lady, Miss Alexandra Rae Slater (yes I government named you because its important) has been one of my closest friends for 17 years or something crazy like that! We met in 6th grade through a mutual friend- even if I didn't think you existed for 6th grade since you were always gone! Together we have been band nerds, twins (with our outfits and matching purple hippo pillow pets for spirit week), prom dates, poor camping buddies (that ended with us getting rained out and then stopping to make s'mores on the side of the road right before you fell asleep on me while driving home in the middle of the night haha). You have been my gym buddy, my editor, my drive for living my life and not accepting anything less then fabulous, and my rebranding partner. We have shared highs and lows, and an incredible history of adventures (even last minute small adventures to Stillwater at midnight to hang out at the river). I know that she has my back no matter what comes our way! Thank you for helping Zach plan the proposal and find a ring and for agreeing to be by my side! P.S. Where is your iPod?

This little sassy fashionista may or may not be my twin haha! I have the honor of being Patton's godmother, and I could not be more excited about it. Every year we celebrate national pickle day because that is one of her nicknames and of course we love pickles! But then we also celebrate national unicorn day where we dress up as unicorns and go on adventures (that is where this picture came from!!) We also get together for many other adventures (and plenty of snacks haha). I am so happy that Patton will be our flower girl and that we have a lifetime of making many more memories together (and I will try not to cause any more scenes like when I was asked to be your godmother and I embarrassed the people I was with because I was so EXCITED!!!) I love you and I cant wait to see you in your adorable dress!
