We first met at Wilkes University. I tried to be Greg’s lab partner in organic chemistry, but he turned me down. We started to spend more time with each other with mutual friends. We realized shortly after that we had a connection and became inseparable. We officially started dating 2/21/12. I knew within the first two weeks that we would eventually get married.
I was on a trip out to Indiana and Greg asked if I wanted to go out to dinner with his friend Nate and his wife Jenn. On the way to dinner I saw an IKEA and asked if we could go. Greg said maybe later. After dinner, I asked again if we could go to IKEA, but Greg said he wanted to take me through downtown Indianapolis. We circled the monument in the car and Greg wanted to get out and walk around it but there were shady characters hanging around it. He then took me down to the canals and we started walking, but I was complaining that I was too cold and I wanted to go shop at IKEA or go home. When we got back to Greg’s apartment and I started to get ready for bed. Greg kept yelling from the kitchen and asking what was taking so long. When I finally came out I realized why he kept asking as the whole time he was kneeling and waiting to ask for my hand in marriage. Of course I said, “YES!” Here poor Greg had the ring in his pocket all night and had been trying to find the perfect moment to propose. Fortunately , it all worked out in the end!
