Nick and Kresleigh met in 2015 through their mutual friend Paul. Kresleigh was meeting Paul and Spencer for breakfast at IHop when Paul explained his friend Nick would be joining them. Paul described Nick as a shit-stirrer and that checked out when Nick joined them and started to make fun of Kresleigh for her veggie omelet and put Tabasco into everyone's drinks. Kresleigh thought he was funny and they remained friends for years after that. In 2018, Kresleigh's best friend (now sister-in-law), Abigail, started to date Nick's brother, Scott. Nick and Kresleigh took it upon themselves to try and crash as many of their dates as possible to embarrass them both until one day Scott and Abigail stood them up and they found themselves on a date by themselves. By this point, they had so much fun together that they considered dating, but it seemed weird to date one of your good friends until one day Nick asked Kresleigh to be his girlfriend and she said yes. Fast forward to October of 2022, Nick and Kresleigh with a few of their close friends made a trip out to North Carolina to drive the Tail of The Dragon and explore the area. The first day they were there they drove for hours doing what Kresleigh thought was just exploring but really it was Nick's chance to find the perfect place to propose to her. He had been waiting six months to ask her, had a ring custom-made, and asked for her parent's blessing months before he was planning to ask. He wanted it to be perfect, and truthfully it was just that. You see Nick was acting annoying to cover up the fact he was going to ask her soon and it was working, Kresleigh was over the way he was acting. They went for a drive and Nick took a turn too sharply and Kresleigh's matcha tea spilt all over her jeans. Matcha is super potent and green, and it looked like Kresleigh had shit all over her pants. Obviously not the happiest Kresleigh changed into shorts she had in the trunk and gave Nick a little lecture on how he was being weird the whole trip. Once she was done Nick had said he was going to take some photos of his car when in reality he was about to propose in front of the most breathtaking view. He got down on one knee and asked Kresleigh to marry him, and of course, she said yes. Some of you may not see this as very romantic but when you ask your best friend to marry you, it doesn't have to be perfect or romantic in classic terms, it just has to be real and sincere, and that's everything Nick and Kresleigh's relationship has ever been built on. It was perfect for them, and they wouldn't change a thing. Nick and Kresleigh couldn't be more excited to share this day with you all. It's something they have worked towards for over six years now, and they have never been more excited to tie the knot with all of their closest family and friends. The venue has a beautiful view that overlooks Table Rock Lake, which is where Nick and Kresleigh spent most of their childhood, so they are excited to include it in their special day.
