We recommend arriving Wednesday-Thursday, and departing Sunday-Monday. There will be opportunities to gather the day before and after the wedding. We will be leaving for a honeymoon on Monday morning.
Yes, the Hyatt in Emeryville has a block of rooms reserved. In May, the Bay Area is usually warm and sunny during the day, and a bit chilly at night, once the sun goes down. It does sometimes rain this time of year as well. We recommend you bring layers for various types of temperate weather. Don't forget sunscreen — even on cooler or foggy days, the sun here can be surprisingly strong.
The dress code is semi-formal. You are welcome to wear something funky or more traditional, depending on your own sense of style.
