“I have a feeling this isn’t the end.”

Long before they moved to London, before they started switching jobs every year, before they even met – Luke and Hannah were not on conventional paths. They pursued different schools, careers, and passions from their friends. Given their predisposition to forging their own path – it makes perfect sense they’d have a love story so unique. Our bride and groom met fortuitously – when a series of administrative errors put them in the same marketing class, and a random group project assignment paired them together. Luke was taken with Hannah’s confidence, sense of humor, and sense of self. Hannah was taken with Luke’s bright smile, wealth of random trivia, and mastery of the Adobe Creative Cloud. Even their fellow group member Jenna said, “There is an energy between you two.” After a few months apart during COVID, Luke and Hannah reconnected in Evanston in June. In the midst of uncertainty, isolation, and fear – that summer they found a beautiful few weeks of connection, joy, and – just maybe – the promise of something bigger in the future. Before Luke returned home at the end of June – Hannah handed him a card signed, “I have a feeling this isn’t the end.” It turns out, it wasn’t. In their months apart, they zoomed to co-solve the NYT crossword each morning and finally in December 2020, Hannah moved to New York and the next chapter of their relationship began. Luke and Hannah learned how to be adults together – each one’s taste and habits shaped by the other in an ever-evolving pattern. Luke learned that it's okay to spend money on a dinner out occasionally. Hannah learned that not every Saturday’s activity had to be shopping. As they learned to be better adults, they learned how to be better partners too. After a few years living apart, it became clear that this life would be better lived together. Unfortunately, it was clear to Hannah a few months before Luke. But don’t worry, he came around. In their Upper West Side apartment - they filled shelves with their favorite novels, curios, and pictures from around the world. They learned to compromise, to look for the best in each other, and how to give each other space (still a WIP for Hannah). Soon after, it was evident it was a matter of “when” and not “if” a proposal was coming. The couple will tell you their engagement was the best of their lives. After months of planning, Luke proposed on May 31st, 2025 with a beautiful day full of friends, family, and – most importantly – a ring. He made sure it was a perfect day, because he knows that Hannah deserves the absolute best (and she agrees). Our couple found so much comfort in each other, their usual pace of life, their usual friends, their usual neighborhood spots. And while they agreed their life there was beautiful – they also agreed that 27 was too young to close themselves off to new experiences. And so they hatched their next great adventure. In October 2025, they boarded a one-way flight from JFK to Heathrow. Luke didn’t have a new job, they had no friends or family in London, and they had spent only a few days there together. But what they did have was unwavering faith in each other and an unshakeable knowledge that whatever this adventure brought them – it would be okay. Because when they had each other, how could it not be? Luke and Hannah are bonded by their immense desire to get the most out of life. They expect a lot from themselves, from their friends, and from their lives together. Ask Luke about his fiancee and he’ll tell you how Hannah’s boundless enthusiasm, fearless pursuit of what she wants, and unimpeachable commitment to the people she loves have shaped him for the better. Ask Hannah the same and she’ll tell you how Luke’s genuine kindness, penchant for seeing the best in others, and patience for the people he loves continue to shape her worldview. Of course, the couple also share a deep love for the many special people in their lives. They cannot wait to celebrate with you all in May 2027.
