Paisley and Oppie.. I’m not sure if I even have words to describe how special they are to everyone around us. To us- they’re our world. We revolve around them. Paisley is the brightest girl I’ve ever met. She is so smart and wise beyond her age. She knows no limits when it comes to anything. She retains information and knowledge like it’s a superpower. She never fails to show her empathy for others. Oppie is.. just sunshine. That’s how I’d imagine her aura. She’s spunky and loud. She’s bossy and determined. Oppie makes sure she’s always heard and seen. These girls probably will outshine everyone else on our own wedding day. That’s okay though because they’re always the star of the show, even mine.

Parrish is my little big brother. We’re only 2 years apart. He has always been my bestfriend. Besides Jacob and my children, Parrish is one of the brightest lights in my life. He has always been my go to for advice, the person who holds me true to my word, reminds me of boundaries and much more. He is such a great uncle and never lets the fun die down. He knows my darkest secrets and my life highlights. We chose Parrish as our officiant because we couldn’t think of anyone better to help officially tie our life together in marriage. Even though they don’t like to admit it, Jacob and Parrish are besties for the resties. Parrish is one of the truest souls I’ve ever met and we call ourselves twins or twin flames because of our bond.

Father of the Bride

I wanted to include my father in my wedding party even if he isn’t here to share the day with me and walk me down the aisle. My father died when I was 9 back in 2010. We didn’t have the best nor closest relationship but what we did share is a lost connection and it didn’t have to be spoken about, we both just felt it. I wish he was here- not because he’s missed so much, but because I want him to see how strong I’ve become and how resilient his death has made me. As badly as I want to change things for him to be here with me on this day, I can’t but I hope I’m able to uphold his memory on my wedding day.

Mother of the Bride

This is my bestfriend in the entire world. As unfortunate as things have been throughout our lives, she always made sure to show up in her own special ways. We’ve never had a regular mother - daughter relationship and we’ve come to be okay with that. She is one of the strongest people I’ve ever met and is relentless in her ways. I love her beyond measure.
