If you told me ten years ago that I would meet my future husband on Hinge, I would've laughed in your face. The reality is online dating can be a scary world, but there I was talking to this tall attractive guy who had recently relocated from Alabama. After exchanging numbers and sharing conversation, Holden and I planned to meet for our first date. While debating where to go for dinner, we realized that neither of us had ever been to the beloved restaurant known as Bartaco. It comes as no surprise that I was fashionably late to our first date, but thankfully Holden was a gentleman and waited to walk in with me. To give you some context, the entrance to Bar Taco in West Hartford, CT is literally right next to the door that leads to another restaurant called Barcelona. Unbeknownst to us, we casually walked into the wrong restaurant and I walked out having enjoyed the best first date of my life. I remember sharing stories and laughs as we ordered spicy margaritas and tapas in a dark wine bar we assumed was Bartaco. When thinking about this story, I always laugh at how blissfully unaware we were to the fact that not one single taco was enjoyed between the two of us. It actually took us almost twenty-four hours to realize we had gone to the wrong restaurant. Safe to say, I think we both really enjoyed the company that night.
