Where should we stay?

Answer

We recommend staying in Huntington Beach, Seal Beach, or the Belmont Shore neighborhood of Long Beach. It will be summer in California, so plan for traffic on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), especially surrounding/east of Main Street in Huntington Beach.

Can’t go wrong with a reservation from this list: Long Beach - Nicks on 2nd (Bride’s favorite) - Bungalow Kitchen Belmont Shore - Saint and Second - Le Creperie - Open Sesame Seal Beach/Los Alamitos - Mahe - Spaghettini - Off the Hook (Bride’s favorite) - Fish Company Huntington Beach - Simmzys - Ola Mexican Kitchen - Tanner’s And of course, you have to get a breakfast burrito from Nick’s Deli (Seal Beach or Los Al locations) at some point in your stay. Groom’s orders.

Is there a hotel block?

We opted not to secure a hotel block, but there are plenty of amazing options in the area, including AirBNB and VRBO. Check out the Travel tab for some of our favorite hotels.

Is the venue indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place indoors inside the church sanctuary. At the reception, the cocktail hour and dinner will be outside with an indoor dance floor. You may want to bring a light jacket, but it's usually pretty warm in California in August---an average of 80 degrees!

Is there parking at the venues?

There's parking onsite at both at both Good Shepherd and Huntington Bay Club.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your invitation indicates a guest, of course! Otherwise, we ask that you don't bring along anyone extra so that we can accurately track our guest count.

Can we bring our kids?

Answer

We ask that unless specified on your invitation, you enjoy our wedding as a night off.
