David and I met when he sat behind me on a shuttle bus to a Spurs game. We chatted along the ride and when he asked where my friends and I were sitting, I told him the nosebleeds. Once the bus dropped us off, David asked if he could sneak my friends and I to his seats closer to the floor. We sat with David and his friend the majority of the game and invited them out to dinner with us after. At dinner, David told me he was in town for the weekend and asked if I could be his tour guide during his stay. I agreed and we had such a great time that when he went back home, we were both left thinking "this could be something".
David and I had gone back to San Antonio for his birthday to relive the weekend we first met. When we arrived at our favorite restaurant and place that you could consider was our "first date", I was surprised by my step dad and sisters already waiting for us. In shock, I gave them each a hug only to be surprised yet again by my mom hiding behind them. My mom and I gave each other a big hug and when she let me go, she turned me around to see David kneeling down on one knee. With the biggest smile on both of our faces and some tears of joy, he asked me to marry him and I said yes! We could not be more excited to celebrate such an important moment in our lives with you! See you soon!
