Lindsey and John both graduated from East Carolina University. While there, they shared mutual friends. It wasn't until years down the road they connected. After a few weeks of talking, John drove to Raleigh and took Lindsey out to dinner at a local sushi restaurant. The night went well, obviously, aside from a single 'smoked' (read: charred) salmon roll. The argument still exists as to who exactly ordered this roll (read: John did).
John proposed during his family’s annual beach week trip to Atlantic Beach, NC. After spending all day on the water celebrating Lindsey’s birthday, John popped the question in front of family and friends!
From the beginning of our wedding planning we knew two things: we wanted to get married at the coast and we wanted a Friday wedding. Getting married at the coast made total sense, as this area holds a special place in our hearts; but, a Friday wedding?! We had the same reaction until a few summers ago when we actually attended a wedding scheduled on a Friday. After the excitement of the big day, we were still able to spend time celebrating the bride and groom the rest of the weekend! We couldn’t imagine having our friends and family in from out of town and only getting one night to celebrate with you all! We’re absolutely thrilled to spend a whole weekend soaking up the good times with everyone.
