COVID-19 Precautions

We recognize that we are amidst unprecedented times. We are very cognizant of the fact that COVID-19 affects us all in unique ways and that everyone has others to think of when they make their plans. Please in no way feel pressured to do anything that makes you feel uncomfortable. We absolutely respect your decisions and understand. We have been talking about different ways to be thoughtful and safe in the ways that we do things for the wedding. Here are some things that we have come up with so far:
Question

The venue has put out a statement of how they are responding to COVID-19

Answer

In addition to all the protocols already in place by the state of Oklahoma which MANDATES MASKS IN PUBLIC, OKC Golf and Country Club has implemented additional precautions: temperature checks for any party over 50 people; requiring masks in all indoor facilities, with some exceptions, depending on the specific situation; in-House Testing for staff. Every week, a local laboratory is testing 20 to 30 staff based on symptoms, contact tracing, travel schedule, & random testing. Even if staff are not experiencing symptoms, a staff member receiving a positive test will not be allowed to come back to work until after receiving a NEGATIVE test. We want to remind you to please practice social distancing, and please wear a mask when you are inside any building as this is a city mandate and needs to be respected.

Question

Additional precautions we are doing for our wedding:

Answer

1. In addition to the measures of the venue, we will have face masks for everyone (surgical quality and above) and hand sanitizer provided for the ceremony and reception. 2. We plan on having the ceremony outside and then the reception socially distanced inside. 3. We will have a seated dinner without any shared utensils. Pre-covid times, the tables are usually for 10 people, however, only 6 people will be sat at each table allowing for good social distancing. 4. For those who do not feel comfortable coming or cannot come in person, we will have a virtual attendance option for the ceremony.

Question

If I want to attend virtually, what should I expect?

Answer

We will be sending out invitations with an RSVP option indicating virtual attendance and a place to indicate your e-mail address. We ask that by the date of RSVP that whatever option you choose (i.e. in-person or virtually) that you do your best to uphold that decision. We completely respect your choices of what you feel most comfortable doing and understand that everyone has their own unique circumstances guiding those decisions. If you choose to attend virtually, we will send you instructions via e-mail on how to virtually login to the wedding ceremony. Once logged in, you will be able to view a live stream of the ceremony.
