Question

Is there a dress code?Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes- For the ceremony and reception, the Bride and groom kindly request formal attire. Suits, floor length gowns, or floor-length jump suits, depending on guest preference. We ask that guests refrain from wearing tuxedos to allow the Groom to stand out. We also ask women to refrain from wearing white to allow the Bride to stand out. If you will be attending the rehearsal dinner/welcome party, we ask that guests wear dressy casual attire. If you have specific questions regarding attire, please feel free to reach out to the Bride or Groom. All other events do not have a dress code. We encourage you to wear what feels comfortable and allows you to have FUN!

Question

Answer

While everyone's packing list will look different, here are a couple of things worth noting: The weather in the fall can be unpredictable. Please ensure you have outfits that can accommodate warmer days and cooler evenings. We expect the fall foliage to be in full swing during this time. The ceremony will be outdoors, so please plan accordingly. There is an indoor pool house and an outdoor hot tub. If you would like to use these facilities, please bring a swimsuit. We plan on having an on-property movie night in the theatre. While not required, PJ's are a fun addition. We are having a group yoga class on the wedding morning. Towels will be provided, but if you wish to use a yoga mat, you will need to bring your own. The Bride and Groom are providing alcohol for the reception on 10/3/26. If you wish to drink outside of this, please bring your own alcohol.

Question

How are room assignments determined? How are room assignments determined?

Answer

While we wish we had room for everyone to stay at The Palace immediate family and close friends will be given priority for on-site rooms. The Palace has a limited number of double occupancy (one couple) rooms, so you may be asked to share a room with others. However, if sharing is needed you will only be asked to room with people you already know. You will never be asked to share a room with people you do not already know. If you would prefer a private place to stay, please refer to the “Hotels” tab of this website for local lodging options.
