Having lived just miles away from each other for most of our lives, the two of us did not meet until after our high school graduation. Luckily, we met at a graduation party for a mutual friend!

Shelby just did not understand why everyone seemed so set on the young couple enjoying themselves that day. There was family coming in! Cleaning to be done! Baking to finish! Homework to submit! And yet the whole world seemed to be pushing Jake and Shelby to a lovely afternoon on Louisville's Walking Bridge. The sun made a brief and beautiful appearance when Jake stopped to ask an "important question" and got down on one knee. Of course she ecstatically said yes and the two then shared a delicious pizza before joining family for a surprise engagement party.
