Samantha House

Maid of Honor

How long have you known the bride? I cannot even believe this but 30 years! We met when we were 3 years old! How did you meet the bride? We were next door neighbors growing up! In my free time I like to.. When I am not chasing my two kiddos around, I love running and spending time with my friends and family. My favorite memory with the bride is... Honestly, how do I choose one when I have 30 years of memories! There are so so many, but nothing beats having my best friend and second sister right next door. We had plenty of fun adventures throwing fashion shows & weddings with/for our younger siblings, camping in the yard, coming up with our own cookie dough recipe, Black Friday shopping trips, getting locked out of the house, sharing closets and SO many more...but being able to run over to each other's houses when we needed to talk and needed a friend - the simple moments - are the times I will forever cherish. A word of advice or encouragement for Meredith & Hogan: Never stop dating each other! We received advice that I encourage you to start right away and do your best to continue even as your family grows - try make time for three things: 1. A weekly date - this doesn't necessarily need to be out somewhere, it could be something simple at home. Just take time each week to connect. 2. A quarterly retreat - this is a small overnight getaway. 3. An annual escape - here is where you can go a bit bigger. This is your vacation to reconnect and relax together.

How long have you known the bride? My whole life. :) How did you meet the bride? Cousins! In my free time I like to...check out a new restaurant or fun activity with friends and/or a good binge watch of a great tv show. My favorite memory with the bride is...oh too many to count! One that comes to mind is surprising our parents with a homemade Christmas/birthday present while we were in Coco Beach, FL (our fav family vacation spot for many years). Long story short, there was a craft project that went wrong, and we may or may not have stained the carpet in our hotel room with paint. One of the many fun/ ridiculous memories we have together. A word of advice or encouragement for Meredith & Hogan: Never stop communicating. As long as you keep sharing your thoughts, successes, mistakes, dreams, and fears with each other, everything else will fall into place.
