This story starts in 2022 when Hope moved out to Utah from New York. She was a freshman in college at Liberty University on a slight hiatus spending a semester in Utah with her older brother. Being the pastor's sister at SMCC gets you to be "volun-told" for a lot of things— one of which being to run the social media and photography for high school ministry, in which Dominic played guitar for. At the time, she thought he was cute but he had a girlfriend and was leaving for Virginia soon so she didn't see him again for a year... Middle school ministry had a summer camp in 2023 that Dominic was signed up for with his 8th grade boys, and Hope had gotten "volun-told" yet again for 6th grade girls. With three church campuses and all middle school grades all at the same camp, somehow Dominic and Hope's groups got paired together for the week. Though it was a short week, they quickly turned into friends. Soon, camp ended and Dominic went back to Virginia... still with a girlfriend. Hope had come to visit her best friend, Josie, at Liberty University around November 2023 and took some time to hangout with Dominic, and his roommate Carson, for part of that trip. Rumors are that Dominic could not stop talking about how much he loved seeing Hope during that time as "it was nice seeing someone from home." At the beginning of summer 2024, Dominic and his girlfriend had broken up. Hope and Dominic filled the summer hanging out; little did she know that they would become inseparable. All while they were hanging out, she was planning her next move to Nashville, TN. It took months for Hope and just moments for Dominic, but they both realized that God's hand had been pushing them together for years on end. There may not be such thing as soulmates, but Hope and Dominic agreed they were the closest to soulmates it could get. They started dating officially on July 24th of 2024, Hope planted roots in Utah and stopped preparations to move to Tennessee, and Dominic stayed home to finish his last year of Liberty online in Utah. That leads us to today and how we all got here— a mix of coincidences and God's divine plan between two best friends.
