Our love story began on May 14, 2022, at Gelato Paradiso in Austin, Texas. Nathan was invited by our friend Becca to meet up for gelato. It wasn’t until the last minute that he was informed that Cassidy would also be joining (the girls had conspired this all along). This set off a chain of events. Later that summer, we had our first date over sushi in San Marcos, Texas. It was a slow burn early , but eventually both of us knew that we had very real feelings for each other. After an eventful summer and fall of getting to know each other we finally made it official on February 18, 2023. We enjoyed over two years of dating with many fun memories made. Some of our favorite highlights include trips to Disneyland, Hawaii, and Monterey, California. Nathan was even lucky enough to have Cassidy join him for several Texas Longhorns football games in our time dating (Hook ‘Em!). Finally, on May 17, 2025, Nathan invited Cassidy on a picnic to Common Fords Metropolitan Park located just west of Austin. On the picnic each of us worked on our own small canvas painting and agreed to not show each other until we were done. Little did Cassidy know that Nathan had actually prepainted his canvas. He had (masterfully) painted the location of where they were sitting, along the water in the grass. Our cats, Honey and Juniper were even pictured, but the focal point of the painting was the big words “MARRY ME?” written across the top. Cassidy hesitated but eventually said yes (phew!). Despite being offered top dollar by the Louvre and other world renowned art museums for the painting, today it proudly hangs on the wall in our home. Since our engagement, the last year has been very eventful. We discovered in early September that we were pregnant with a baby boy! Shortly thereafter, on December 28, 2025, we officially tied the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony with immediate family in Abilene, Texas. We are ecstatic to celebrate once again with all of our family friends! We are counting the days until September 6, 2026!
