Rachel and Alex began their adventure on the dating app Bumble where they sent 6 messages over the course of three months. Alex deleted the app mid conversation and re-downloaded it a month or so later to a missed message from Rachel, actually sent by Rachel's old roommate (shout out Sarah). After a quick text message conversation, they decided to meet for a first date at Rachel's local watering hole, The Greats of Craft. A couple of beers and a good conversation about Denver, Mulan, and the Rangers led the two to their first kiss. Dates were plenty in Jan. and early Feb. until they had their first rift during Valentine’s Day. Rachel believed they should have done something the day of while Alex believed that doing something a few days before and getting flowers, chocolates, and a card was enough. The world may never know who was right. A week later, the relationship was official. Two weeks later, the world stopped. Were they supposed to quarantine together? They barely knew each other. They made the decision to try podding. Countless weekends were spent drinking tequila in Alex’s studio while meeting each other's friends through Zoom and playing codenames/setting up a murder mystery. They soon figured that being stuck in a studio apartment was not a great way to spend the summer, so they moved out to the Hoffman Berkshires hotel. There, they spent 3 months exploring the surroundings and creating a conducive environment to conceive a baby (shout out Ari/Oren/Micha). In October, they moved to Denver for 2 months, where they eventually got Covid and spent 2 weeks in bed watching the election and eating Chinese food. 2021 had countless memories for them, but to name a few, they traveled to Africa (shout out Scott/Danielle) and Spain (shout out Ethan/Brenda), moved in together, had 10 weddings (shout out those married people), and spent even more time in the Berkshires. Two weeks into 2022, Alex made it official with the help of his minions (Erica, Anna, Jonathan)!
