Our story didn't start with a cinematic "meet-cute," but with a well-timed swipe on Hinge in March 2024. Our first date was at 1215 Wine Bar, where the conversation flowed so easily that Melanie ended up being (very) late to her friend’s birthday party. Sorry, Claire—blame Justin! The following dates were spent wandering along the Ohio River and exploring the bars of Covington, culminating in a first kiss at The Hannaford. Since then, our lives have been a beautiful blend of world travel, incredible food, and a shared devotion to God’s Kingdom. While Melanie brings the spark and the joy to every room, Justin is the steady anchor who brings her peace. On Christmas Day 2025, Justin decided to make things official. In a moment that perfectly captured the reality of our life together, Justin had to toss a bag of dog poop a safe distance away before dropping to one knee. With our dog, Ace, as the only witness, Melanie said yes. We can’t wait to start this next chapter of our lives together.
