Our story began on August 17, 2023, completely unplanned, perfectly timed, and in the most unexpected of places: a local dive bar. My daughter happened to be at a sleepover that night, and with a rare free evening, I decided to go out for a bit with a friend. I had no idea that decision would change my life. According to me, the night started at Bad Habits. According to Jordan, he noticed me even earlier, when we were over at Sam and Jake’s beforehand. I didn’t see him then, mostly because it was crowded (it was 8-Ball League Night) and I made a beeline straight for the bar, blinders on, avoiding the chaos. But fate has a funny way of circling back. It wasn’t until we ended up at Bad Habits afterward, where things were quiet and slow, that I finally noticed him. That’s where everything shifted. Jordan challenged me to a game of pool, and eventually, after putting himself in a tough spot for his next shot, he looked at me with a confident smile and asked, “If I make this shot, can I get your number?” And of course, he made the shot. And yes, he got my number. And let’s not forget the moment that really won me over: the iconic "Tina Dance." If you know, you know. That dance sealed the deal more than any pool shot ever could. From that night on, everything fell into place effortlessly. Our first date was on August 28, 2023, and just a few days later, on September 3, he asked me to be his girlfriend. That date has always held a special place in our hearts, which is why choosing a wedding date so close to our original anniversary feels beautifully full-circle. The next chapter officially began on April 18, 2025. What started as just a relaxing night at one of our favorite spots, Potomac Ridge Brewery, turned into a moment we’ll never forget. Right there in the place we love, Jordan popped the question, and I said the easiest "Yes" of my life. What started as a quiet night out turned into the beginning of forever and we can’t wait to celebrate the rest of our story with you!
