Alyssa moved from Chicago to Colorado after some persuasion from her sister. She told herself she would move just for a year, or so she thought. Ethan, originally from California, also moved to Colorado for work. Not long after, they met on Hinge, where Alyssa commented on Ethan’s mustache, and the conversation took off. They spent weeks texting, and eventually, they went on their first date at the Grizzly Rose, two-stepping and joking that they were already holding hands on date one. Ethan believed dates should never be boring, which led to Topgolf, tiki bars, Avalanche games, and concerts. He asked Alyssa to be his girlfriend at a Shane Smith concert and later told her he loved her at another. Along the way, they realized they shared a love for sports, camping, skiing, and exploring Colorado together. Ethan proposed at Lily Lake in Estes Park, Alyssa’s favorite place, near his family’s cabin, where they’ve spent many trips. The day ended with a surprise celebration surrounded by both of their families and friends.
