A great place to bring the family (Good for babies to teens!). Over the past year, Magic Forest has transformed into the Lake George Expedition Park, completely revamping the grounds, and incorporating the VERY cool new dinosaur-themed Dino Roar Valley.
Located directly in Lake George Village, this is a sweet little area to walk around after doing some shopping in the village. Located at the park is an amphitheater with nightly live music, the Shepard Park Beach, and the Lake George Pier. Grab a drink next door on the water at the Lake George Beach Club!
One of our absolute favorites. This diner, unlike many other restaurants in Lake George, is open year-round instead of just seasonally, so it has the local stamp of approval. The diner also shares a parking lot with the bowling alley!
You can hike this or drive up! This is a popular and moderately difficult hike. It is steep in spots, and you *must* have sneakers. The trail is only 1.5mi from trail head to summit, but don't let that fool you, it will have you out of breath! It has an amazing 100-mile view of Lake George, the neighboring lakes, and various mountains around. A car ride to the top costs $10/car, and there are picnic areas, a pavillion, and bathrooms. This is the address where the trail starts if you plan on hiking. You can park right on the road, then walk across the bridge: 75 Smith St, Lake George, NY 12845 PLEASE NOTE: There is little to NO cell service while hiking. Be sure to follow the trail markers and pack BUG SPRAY, water, snacks, basic first aid supplies, and a flash light. *hikers pro tip: bugs like scents. if you've used shampoo, conditioner, lotion, deodorant, or other bath products, the bugs may like you.*
