I had heard about Ryan, he had heard about me. Our friends planted the seeds, but we didn't think much of it.. until the wedding weekend of my childhood best friend, Becca, who married his childhood best friend, Chris. We were both in the bridal party and I heard the phrase, "SO have you met Ryan yet? He's a catch, like marriage material" from SO many of their people. I knew we had to at least chat and see what that was about. It started with him hyping me up for my maid of honor speech that I was TERRIFIED about... and one conversation led to the next over the course of the weekend. Whether it was the wine or the romantic setting of the wedding, we both knew that we needed to see each other again. I was nervous, as I was leaving this magical weekend to return to school in Colorado, but we just couldn't stop talking. It was an easy decision for us to keep seeing each other again and again....until COVID circumstances landed me in WA and now here we are... planning the wedding of our dreams together <3 - C
The surprise was the most important aspect for me. I planned a casual trip to the Monterey peninsula to hang out with a couple of Cassie’s best friends and turned it into what would be one of the best weekends of our lives. We planned a double date right off the 18th green of the Pebble Beach golf course and instead, I pulled Cassie away and got on one knee. Afterward, we had both of our families up in the lodge waiting to celebrate with us. Safe to say it was an incredible night spent with close friends and family celebrating Cassie and I and all our futures together! -R
