“Some people learn how to love by growing through a series of relationships. I have spent my whole life learning to love just Josiah, and now I get to marry him!” - Rachel (the bride) Josiah and Rachel met at church when they were in junior high. From the start, it was clear that they and their families were kindred spirits, but no one could have predicted that this friendship would grow and blossom into a lifelong love that would transcend miles and milestones. Josiah asked Rachel to be his valentine when they were twelve and thirteen years old. From then on, they were inseparable, that is until Josiah’s family announced they were moving out of state. Yet, even this did not deter their young love. Through high school, drivers-ed, college applications, and job searching, they have loved and supported each other long distance, dreaming of the day they could be together again. When Josiah asked Rachel to marry him, her “yes” was a culmination of a lifetime of choosing each other, putting each other first, standing by each other through highs and lows, talking and praying through every decision, and committing their relationship to the Lord. Through it all, they have shared a passion for God and for inspiring others through music. They have written many songs together. As they anticipate their marriage, they are excited to see how God will continue to use their gifts and talents for His glory as husband and wife. This June, they invite you to join them and their families in an evening of worship and celebration of their commitment to each other and to God who wrote their lifelong love story.
