FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. In respect for our Lord and the Immaculata's dress code, ladies should wear dresses/skirts below the knee, with shoulders covered, and a modest neckline of the blouse/dress. Men should wear slacks with a nice shirt. No jeans or shorts, please. Veils are encouraged and are traditonally worn by the ladies.

Question

What is the decorum for the Mass?

Answer

Please keep a reverent and respectful silence. This means no clapping at the end of mass, talking, or unnecessary noise of any kind in the main chapel. If you are not Catholic or are not practicing, we ask that you please refrain from receiving Communion out of respect for our Lord.

Question

Will there be English translations for the Mass?

Answer

Yes, the Immaculata provides booklets for the congregation to follow along in English.

Question

Are kids allowed?

Answer

Yes! The second floor of the Immaculata is designated for nursing women and young children, if need be.

Question

What should I bring to the reception?

Answer

We are having a potluck-style reception, so we ask that you bring a dish and a drink (alcohol allowed). For anyone out-of-state, please bring a "comfort" side dish (i.e. a side dish you like) with a beverage. For anyone in-state, please bring a main "comfort" dish for others to share, along with a beverage. Desert will be provided!
