Some may or may not know that Robert and Madison met back in middle school! Rob stole Madison's heart with that Justin Bieber hair at a young 13 years old. They had to part ways going into high school, not knowing that they would reconnect seven years later when Madison came back to St. Augustine during the 2020 shut-down. Two years of a long distance relationship later, Madison was FINALLY back in the same city as Rob. Shortly after Madison's return home and their three year anniversary, they got engaged!
Last August on a family trip to Hawaii, Robert decided it was the perfect location to ask Madison to be his wife. Shortly after asking Madison's parents for her hand in marriage, Rob began scoping out the perfect proposal spot. Through constant research and recruiting the help of friends and family, he decided it would be best to find the spot spontaneously. On the first day of cruising the Hawaiian islands, Rob and the Hobbs family spent the day in Hilo exploring what the beautiful island had to offer. They stumbled upon the most beautiful botanical gardens, that happened to have the perfect waterfront cliff that was later the proposal location! The kicker is... Madison was covered in dirt from their earlier adventure at a goat farm.. that's right... a goat farm! The family and Rob had to get creative on how to bring Madison back to this spot, NOT covered in "goat dirt" as she likes to say. Rob staged this set-up as an opportunity for family Christmas card photos... AND PULLED IT OFF! With Sidney as the photographer, and Brenda as the videographer, they were able to capture a moment that they will never forget! We can't wait to celebrate our special day with you! See you at the Lightner Museum!
