We met at Babson College, Columbus Day weekend 2011. Over the last 6 years, we've come a long way. Ashley can almost follow an entire hockey game and Mike can almost cook dinner...without asking dozens of questions. Through college graduations, apartment moves, a short-but-hectic long distance stint, domestic and international travelling and puppy parenting we have become each others best friends. There are still plenty of things to learn from each other, like how to stop on ice skates and fold clothes the right way. But, luckily for us, we have the rest of our lives to figure them out together.

As long as Ashley and Michael have been together, they have loved to wander around familiar towns or explore completely new places. Over the years, Mont Tremblant, Canada has become their favorite vacation spot. So when they planned a trip for the only weekend during hockey season, Mike didn't have games scheduled, Ashley didn't think anything of it. She was just excited. They planned to go cross country skiing and dog sledding. Firsts for both of them. On Saturday, they woke up, went out for breakfast and explored historic downtown,a part of Mont Tremblant which they had never been. Ashley couldn't wait for the dog sledding excursion they had planned for the afternoon. After dog sledding, even though they were freezing cold, Mike asked Ashley if she wanted to go for a walk by 'that park'. She knew where he meant. Every time they go to Mont Tremblant, they take a picture there. It's a gorgeous view of the mountain and lake. Ashley's Grandma even painted a picture of the very same spot for their apartment a few years earlier. We walked out onto the dock and chatted with some people who were down there with a 6 month old puppy. Once they left, Mike asked Ashley to take a picture. Which is VERY out of character for him. He hates pictures. After a few selfies and two self timer pictures, Mike took Ashley's hands as he got down on one knee and said "I have a question for you...".
