Our relationship started off with a swing and a miss, both figuratively and literally. As Morgan was in charge of hosting her sorority's philanthropy softball tournament to raise money for Habitat for Humanity, Eric found himself at the information desk where Morgan worked quite frequently "to discuss softball tournament details". A week after the softball tournament finished, Eric felt comfortable enough asking Morgan out to dinner. She said "no I'm currently dating someone else right now and want to see where it goes, but we can hangout as friends", so they went to go study in the library that night. A few months later, Eric texted a recently single Morgan on New Years's Eve to wish her a Happy New Year. About a week later, Eric asked Morgan if she liked to snowboard and she replied with a quick "yes, we should go sometime". Eric and Morgan decided to go snowboarding a few days later with some friends at Boreal Resort. From that point on, Eric and Morgan bonded over their sense of adventure and love for outdoor activities. A month later, Eric asked Morgan to be his girlfriend. And now, five years later, the rest of the ballgame is history.

Just like any other weekend, Eric and Morgan went hiking. This time Eric had bigger plans than just hiking. He picked a trail at Mt. Tallac that overlooked one of their favorite places to spend time together, South Lake Tahoe. 2.5 miles later they stopped to take a break. Eric went off exploring to find the perfect place to get on a knee, meanwhile Morgan was hungry per usual and sat down on a rock to eat the rest of her breakfast burrito from that morning. Eric called her over from about 75 yards away. Morgan grabbed her backpack, with burrito still in hand, and walked over to where Eric was standing and looking at the view of Fallen Leaf Lake and Lake Tahoe below them. He asked her to set down her things, and Morgan gave him a weird look as she thought to herself "I'm hungry, why would I set down my burrito?", but she did it anyways. Then something clicked in Morgan's head as Eric began to get down on one knee and reach for something in his pocket. Of course she said yes, so here we are about to get married! Oh and by the way, don't worry she got to finish the burrito...
