Tradiciones del Matrimonio

In a traditional Mexican Catholic wedding, several rituals are woven into the ceremony to symbolize unity, commitment, and spiritual guidance. Each ritual is accompanied by a special item, and we are honored to have family and friends who will serve as padrinos and madrinas. They support us with their love, prayers, and example. Below are the traditions we will incorporate into our ceremony and the beautiful people who will help us carry them out.

Bryan & Gabbie Nguyen

Padrinos de Lazo

Gabbie is Adriana’s beloved older sister, and Bryan is her wonderful husband. As Padrinos de Lazo, they will place the lazo around us, symbolizing our unity and the eternal bond we are committing to on this special day. Their unwavering support of us as a couple reminds us of the importance of love, connection, and the strength of family.

Jason La & Lisa Tran

Padrinos de Velación

Lisa is Adam’s older cousin, and alongside her husband Jason, they have been a constant source of love, support, and faith in his life. As Padrinos de Velación, they will serve as spiritual witnesses to our vows and offer their wisdom as we begin our marriage. Their presence in our lives fills us with gratitude and joy, and we are honored to have them by our side.

Alejandra & Marcela Espinoza

Madrinas de Biblia y Rosario

Alejandra and Marcela are Adriana’s younger sisters, and their bond is a beautiful reflection of love, loyalty, and the unbreakable ties of sisterhood. As Madrinas de Biblia y Rosario, they will present us with a bible and rosary, sacred symbols that will guide us through our married life. Their deep love and strength inspire us daily, and we are so grateful for the role they are playing in helping us lay a solid foundation of faith and love for our future.

Jeremy & Rachel Green

Padrinos de Arras

Jeremy and Rachel are more than friends, they are family. Their loyalty, kindness, and support have meant the world to us. As Padrinos de Arras, they will present the arras, symbolizing prosperity, commitment, and mutual care in our shared life ahead. Their role reminds us of the trust and generosity that will guide our marriage.

Veronica Chavez

Madrina de Ramo

Veronica is Adriana’s best friend, and their bond is built on trust, support, and countless moments that have shaped an unshakable connection. As the Madrina del Ramo, she will present the bouquet for the offering at the altar of the Virgen de Guadalupe. This tradition seeks the Virgen's blessings of protection, guidance, love, and strength for our marriage. Veronica’s warmth, kindness, and deep friendship make her the perfect person to carry out this meaningful role, reminding us of the love and blessings that will guide us every step of the way.

Alex Ramos & Alejandra Hong

Padrinos de Cojines

Alex and Ally are two of Adam's close friends. Over the years, Adam has turned to both of them time and time again for guidance, always receiving thoughtful, solid advice from their wisdom and life experience. As Padrinos de Cojines, they will provide the cushions we kneel on during the ceremony. These cushions are symbols of the love, support, and comfort we will draw from our community in both joyful moments and times of challenge throughout our marriage.

Clementina Nguyen

Flower Girl

Our lovely flower girl is Clementina. In addition to being the sweetest little girl, she is also Adriana's beautiful niece and goddaughter. This will be her fourth wedding as a flower girl. We know that the joy that she brings to our lives will brighten up our special day. We can't wait to celebrate with her!

Armando Nguyen & Mateo Hoang

Ring Bearers

Our adorable ring bearers are Armando and Mateo. Armando is Adriana's nephew and Mateo is Adam's. They will be carrying the rings down the aisle to seal our vows! Armando is a well-seasoned ring bearer and he has promised to show Mateo the ropes. We can't wait to see them shine at our wedding!
