Nathan and I met for the first time at the St. Patricks Day event in downtown Florence on March 17, 2017 through mutual friends of Matt and Jessica Weiland. Hence why I call him my "lucky charm". Unknown to us, Matt and Jess were trying to set us up. Nathan was mislead and thought that I was not single from a conversation that had taken place earlier with Matt. Matt had told Nathan that Jess had a friend that was coming but wasn't single, so he thought that was me. For myself I just came to hang out with friends, not knowing that I would met my future husband that night. The first encounter consisted of casual introductions. Neither of us really acknowledged the other very much. As the night ensued, Matt asked Nathan, "why aren’t you making moves!?!?” Nathan responded, "because you told me not to". Matt realized that he had misinformed Nathan about who I was. At this time we were now at Apple Annies which is the hang out in Florence. Matt quickly re-introduce the lovebirds. Matt knew that I met all of Nathan's three criteria...good looking, good job, and owned a house. The following Sunday, Nathan sent a message on facebook inviting me to come to Grill &Chill that afternoon. As I went to leave that night Nathan walked me to my car and invited me over to have dinner later that week. After a series of dates, we officially started dating April 10.

Nathan and I plan a vacation every year during Honda shutdown which happens to be during 4th of July week. We were heading to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic...little did I know that this vacation was going to be much more exciting than our usual. I had mentioned to Nathan that I wanted to go watch the sunrise before going back home. Wednesday (July 3rd) morning we woke up about 5:30am and headed to the beach to watch the sunrise. I was just walking along the beach in my own little world. Nathan was a littler further behind me so I made my way back to where he was standing. I was quite confused why he had his GoPro out taking pictures. I asked what in the world are you doing??? Nathan then stopped and said, "Well I guess now is good of a time as any". Nathan then got on his knee and ask me if I wanted to get married.
