COVID and FAQs

If you have any additional questions please feel free to reach out to us at ktvaughan12@gmail.com.
Question

What's are we doing regarding COVID?

Answer

COVID is at the forefront of our minds. We completely understand everyone's concerns about COVID and are doing our best to keep our wedding COVID safe given the constantly changing regulations/vaccine availability. Our dream is that the vaccine will be available to everyone who wants it before our wedding so that everyone can get it! But we are preparing as if the vaccine will only be available to people outlined in phase 1. All events will be outside (except dancing which will be in the barn with all doors open). Further precautions are outlined in the below FAQs. Please feel free to ask questions and decide what is best for you; we want everyone to make the decision that is best for them and their safety but we are excited to share the weekend with those who are able to make it! Please let us know your decision by April 15th so we can plan appropriately! We will continue to update this site as information changes but we are very excited to see everyone and celebrate our day!

Question

What if I'm more COVID cautious than others?

Answer

We will be providing optional yellow wristbands for those people that request physical distancing. If you would like to wear one, please put it on when you arrive. We will be asking everyone to take note of this sign and give at least 6 feet of space to anyone wearing a yellow wristband. We want to make sure that everyone is in control of their personal space and everyone will respect other's comfort levels, especially those wearing this designated yellow wristband.

Question

Do I need to wear a mask?

Answer

Everyone will be required to wear a mask at certain points during the night, such as when getting food from the buffet. We will follow the relevant guidelines as it gets closer to the date but everyone is welcome to wear masks more often than required if that makes them more comfortable!

Question

How Do I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP no later than April 15, 2021 via our wedding website - www.zola.com/wedding/HitTheJacquesPot/rsvp

Question

When should we arrive?

Answer

We hope you join us on Saturday at The Cliffs to mingle from 3-6pm! Otherwise, the ceremony will begin Sunday at 4:00pm. We kindly ask guests to arrive at least 15 minutes prior.

Question

How will food/drink at the reception be COVID safe?

Answer

Our caterers are working with SLO County closely to ensure everything is COVID safe. We will update with more details as we get closer. Dessert will be served from within the truck wearing masks and gloves. Bartenders will be wearing masks and will wear gloves when bussing dirty glassware. The bar will be contactless so drinks will be set on the bar for guests to grab to avoid contact with the bartenders.

Question

Is the Welcome Party happening and COVID safe?

Answer

The Welcome Party is still planned to be outside at The Cliffs. With current California laws, masks will be required at this event even though it is outside but we will update as things change. Snacks will be served buffet style with a partition between the food and guests where a member of The Cliffs will serve food so multiple people aren't touching the same food/tongs.

Question

How will photography/videography be COVID safe?

Answer

We are still working through how to take pictures/videos safely. The videographers will wear masks and will have their vaccine for our wedding and the photographers will be wearing masks.

Question

Guest Book Signing?

Answer

There will be a guest book with a clean and dirty bin for sharpies so that multiple people don't have to touch the same sharpies.

Question

Where can I get more information on SLO's safety protocols?

Answer

Question

How will the DJ be COVID safe?

Answer

More information can be found here - https://kramerevents.com/safety-best-practices-during-covid-19/ but here are some general bullet points: -Team will wear masks at all times on site -Team will wash hands often during event -Temperature checks at the start of each shift -Backup staff available if any staff member feels sick -Social distancing maintained

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

I put in a request for sunshine but not too hot, and if it's not exactly 74 degrees, expect some drama... But in all seriousness, it will most likely get chilly after sundown. Dinner is planned to be outside and dancing is tentatively planned to be inside the barn with all of the large barn doors open to remain COVID safe. Be sure to bring a sweater or jacket to keep you warm!

Question

Is there transportation provided to the ceremony?

Answer

Guests will be responsible for their own transportation to the venue. We recommend Uber or Lyft. You may also drive your own car - there is plenty of parking available at the venue.
