What are you serving for dinner?

Answer

Danny's BBQ (based out of Silverdale, WA)! We will also have gluten free mac & cheese and gluten free cornbread for guests with dietary restrictions. Note: The amount of gluten free food at the wedding will be limited, so please let us know if you require this dietary restriction.

What if I have a food allergy or dietary restriction?

PLEASE LET US KNOW! The last thing we want is someone getting sick or having an allergic reaction at our wedding. Even if you've told us before, please reiterate your needs to us. What should I wear?

Answer

Attire for this event is semi-formal. Wedding colors are dark burgundy/maroon, black, and white. The ceremony will be outdoors on grass, so warm, weather-appropriate outer layers and sensible shoes are highly recommended. Rain is possible, but the venue has clear umbrellas on hand. Guests are encouraged to wear wedding colors (including black), but please avoid white (men’s white dress shirts are fine).

Are children welcome at the wedding?

We adore your little ones, but due to venue capacity and the style of our celebration, we’re planning for an adults-only event. We are hoping the evening can be a fun and relaxing night out for attending grown-ups. We hope you understand! 🩷

Question

Do I have to participate in the raffle?

Answer

Not at all! The raffle is just a fun way for us to give back to a cause we care about and share something special with our guests. Nate and I are contributing $500 to kick things off — no matter what, the winner will take home $250, and the other $250 will go to the Kitsap Humane Society (KHS). Each adult guest (18+) will receive one complimentary raffle ticket — no purchase necessary to join in! If you’d like to buy extra tickets, they’re available for $5 each and can be purchased electronically through Nicole (details are under the “Wedding Day Raffle” tab at the top of the page). If you'd prefer not to participate, no worries at all — just send me (Nicole Swatek) a quick message, and I’ll take care of it. No explanation needed. That said, the more tickets in the mix, the bigger the prize — and the bigger the donation — so we’d love for you to join in if you’re up for it!

Will there be things to do other than dancing?

Answer

YES! There will be cornhole, giant Jenga, board games, a pinball arcade (free to play), donkeys/goats to pet, and an antique shop to thrift through!

I'm from out of town, where's a good place to stay?

1. Oxford Suites Silverdale (4.5/5 + breakfast) 9550 NW Silverdale Way, Silverdale, WA 98383 This one looks super nice—my friend’s husband actually helped with their renovations and said it’s a solid place to stay. Silverdale’s a fun town with plenty of good food and spots to explore. It’s also close to the Poulsbo waterfront (Muriel Iverson Williams Waterfront), which is like a tiny Leavenworth—so cute, you have to check it out! 2. Fairfield Inn & Suites Bremerton (4/5 + breakfast) 239 4th Street, Bremerton, WA 98337 Perfect if you want to take a little time to explore Seattle—it's walkable to the ferry! Also only about 20 mins from our houses (dad, Mike, me) and ~30 mins from the venue. Super convenient, honestly. 🩷 3. Guesthouse Inn & Suites Poulsbo (4/5 + breakfast) 19801 7th Ave NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370 This one’s closest to the venue and suuuper close to cute downtown Poulsbo (again, mini Leavenworth vibes—don’t skip Sluy’s Bakery!). I haven’t personally stayed here but heard great things and triple-checked reviews just to be sure. 😄 4. Baymont by Wyndham Bremerton WA (3.5/5 + breakfast) 5640 Kitsap Way, Bremerton, WA 98312 My best friend (MOH!) said this one’s decent. Back when she was renting a room, her parents stayed here whenever they visited. It’s right off the highway and kind of a central hub if you want to explore multiple areas—venue, Poulsbo, Seattle ferry, our houses, etc. 5. Quality Inn Port Orchard (4/5 + breakfast) 220 Bravo Terrace SE, Port Orchard, WA 98366 Closest to our house. It’s not fancy, but it’s clean, safe, and gets the job done. 6. AirBnB There are still a bunch of cute houses available for Dec. 5–7 in the area if you’re leaning more toward that route! 🩷
