In 2015 Daniel just so happened to attend my Church and sit in the pew behind me during the move in weekend for the college he was going to be attending. Being the type of person she is, my mom made me speak to him because she thought he was cute. So we had the awkward small talk conversation & that was it, we never saw each other again. I found him on social media & after not seeing him for a while, I reached out only to find out he moved back to Birmingham. So in the summer of 2017, we connected again only to lose touch after two weeks. We did our own things and then on January 7, 2018 I received a text that sparked our now fairy tail love story. Then after three months of going on dates & talking nonstop March 3, 2018 he asked me to be his girlfriend & of course the rest is history.
It was on January 4, 2020. We had just finished watching my little brother play in an All American football game in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Daniel wanted us to go to a lookout so we could "see the city," which was weird but I just went along with it. Once we reached the Great Smokey Mountains National Park overlook parking area 2 we got out of the car and walked over to look. However, my sister, brother and his girlfriend all stood back. I thought that was weird then Daniel proceeded to kiss me like 10 times in the span of 5 minutes which led me to believe something was up. I didn't want to get my hopes, so I just continued to look over at the city below. We took and picture and in the process of the picture Daniel pulled out the ring, once I got my phone back, I looked at the picture and instantly knew what was about to happened. It was the easiest decision I have ever made. To top it all off, as soon as he finished asking me, it started snowing. It was truly out of a fairytail.
Morgan and I first met in 2015 as recent high school graduates preparing for college. We only had a few occasions to see each other in that 6 months before I made a move to UAB, however this resulted in Moe and I not speaking very much for the next couple of years. Fast forward to 2018 and we went on our first date, the rest as they say is history.
I decided I wanted to ask Morgan to marry me some time before I finally asked the question; you can't rush greatness, right? I most definitely wanted to make it the perfect setting, ring, and everything when I asked her and I think it was just that. I took a trip with Morgan and her family to Gatlinburg and on this trip Morgan, Zach (brother, also Groomsmen), Lauren (girlfriend of Zach), Savannah (Sister of Moe) and myself got away for a few to go to one of the lookouts atop the mountain overlooking Gatlinburg. It was at this location and moment it decided to start snowing, and I knew the moment was perfect. I got down and one knee and now the love of my life will say Yes to come September 19th. To Morgan: If you read this before the day baby girl I love you very much
