Should I get travel insurance ?!

Answer

YES, ABSOLUTELY!!! Travel insurance will cover the entire cost of your trip including lodging, plane tickets, health bills and more (obviously depending on which plan you get) we are asking everyone get tested for covid before they come and if you just so happen to test positive, you will have insurance to reimburse you for your trip. Also airlines/ airports are extremely under staffed and have been delaying and canceling flight CONSTANTLY! Please protect yourself and your pockets. I used TRAWICK in the past for going international

IT IS ON A Wednesday. The middle of the week ! This is also the week leading to Labor Day weekend

Do I have to mail the RSVP?

It would be greatly appreciated if you do but we know the Postal system is behind and we don’t want to miss your confirmation. Please also RSVP on the “Confirm your reservation” page and if you don’t mail in your ticket PLEASE BRING IT WITH YOU

Can I stay at the Resort/ wedding location?

Answer

You can stay at the resort and get a discounted rate if you book before May 31st, this is when they stop holding the rooms for us. I suggest if you know other people coming to the wedding then you can try to book a cabin together to split the cost.

Are there special instructions I can review before booking?

Answer

Yes, the resort has sent a very detailed email explaining the size of the rooms and pricing for them. Please let me know if you would like this email.

Can I stay extra days

Answer

Yes you can book extra days at the resort but they will likely not be at the discounted rate.

Should I book the cabins on the website?

Answer

Yes or you can call the front desk but you need to use the code to get the discounted rate.

Are there other places to stay?

Answer

Yes you can look for Airbnb’s and hotels in Salida or Buena Vista, Colorado. Again remember you will just have to drive to these locations after the reception.

What airport is closest / the best to fly into?

Answer

It depends on your budget. Just keep in mind that it is a 2:10 hr drive from Colorado Springs and about 2:45hr drive from Denver. You will have to rent a car to get to and from the resort/airport.

What is the temperature going to look like?

In the past years the high for the month of September is 74 degrees. As of right now we will except this weather and will update the closer we get

What are some things I should know ?

Answer

Being fun and sunglasses when driving through the mountains. Chapstick and lotion! You can also look into getting a shuttle from The airport to the resort but book this before you come. Check the resort website for the pool and hotspring hours.
