Coronet Peak
If you would like a nice drive in town with an epic view of Queenstown and the surrounding mountains. Drive up to Coronet Peak, 20min drive from Queenstown central, this is a great free activity with incredible views of the entirety of Queenstown!
Wānaka
Just an hour from Queenstown, Take a day trip or stay a couple of nights to add to your South Island trip.
Lake Tekapo
Up for a road trip and a night away for a change of scenery. 3 hours north of Queenstown is Lake Tekapo, with some amazing pitstops along the way you can visit Wanaka Lavender farm, Rippon Vineyard , Tekapo Hot Springs & Tekapo Star Gazing.
Milford Sound
Known as the 8th wonder of the world, you can travel by either Bus & Boat or Plane.
