How do I get to the venue?

Answer

If you use Apple Maps or Google Maps, you can search “Mount Tom House." In the last few miles of the drive, you might scratch your head and wonder “are we going in the right direction?” — you are! The most important thing to note is that Mount Tom Drive is going to transition to a single-lane paved driveway directly ahead of you. You are going to follow the driveway all the way to the house. It’s steep, it curves, & is 1/2 mile long. Look for the Mount Tom House signs at the start and end of our driveway to help guide you the last 1/2 mile! As you reach the top of the driveway, you’ll see an orange parking sign and will follow that into the gravel lot. Please park snuggly next to other cars - we have limited parking and want to ensure that everyone has a spot!

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes! Please park snuggly next to other cars - we have limited parking and want to ensure that everyone has a spot! There is enough parking at Mount Tom House for 50 cars so please try to carpool when possible. If you are not driving yourself, you will be able to catch taxis/Ubers/Lyfts from Eugene to Mount Tom House. To get from Mount Tom House to Eugene, you will need to schedule a taxi. Uber and Lyft do not provide service at Mount Tom House yet. PLEAST NOTE: you CANNOT park extra cars on the side of Mount Tom Rd. Roadside cars will get tagged and reported.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Whatever makes you feel comfortable! Please do not wear jeans, however, we want you to wear what makes you feel best! Also, please keep in mind the weather. The wedding will be entirely outdoors and the current forecast is 85 and sunny so dress appropriately! The ceremony will be held on a grass lawn so wear appropriate shoes.

Will there be an open bar?

Oh boy, you’re ready to party. Don’t worry! We will have a full open bar with two signature drinks! We want our guests to be safe so please have a designated driver or plan to take a taxi/uber/lyft.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Our ceremony is unplugged and we kindly ask that guests refrain from taking pictures and videos during the wedding ceremony. Once we are announced as husband and wife, feel free to take as many photos as you’d like!

Where should I stay?

Answer

Mount Tom House is about a 30 minute drive from Eugene, about a 50 minute drive from Corvallis, and about a 3 hour drive from Hood River/Portland. We recommend finding a hotel in Eugene and driving to the venue.

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will begin at 3:30PM. We recommend arriving 45-30 minutes early to locate the venue and find your seat.

Am I able to go inside of Mount Tom House?

Answer

On the wedding day, day-of guests are not permitted to access the interior of the house or the bathrooms unless arrangements have been made in advance. Outdoor restrooms will be available instead.

Will there be a designated smoking area?

Answer

No, there are no designated smoking areas at Mount Tom House. Smoking is prohibited on the property and we can be subject to fines up to $1000 if guests are found to be smoking.
