There are a wide variety of museums in downtown DC that you can visit for free. Some of our favorites are the Air and Space Museum, the Portrait Gallery, and the American History Museum. You can find a full list at the link below. The zoo is also free!
George Washington's historical home in Virginia is always a neat visit. The Washington Family also went to Pohick Episcopal Church, where we are getting married!
There is a free trolley that runs in Old Town, Alexandria down King Street from the metro to the waterfront. There are tons of cute shops, restaurants, and bars to explore in Old Town and this is an easy and free way to do so!
