Our enthusiasm could not be contained. Our dream was coming true! A perfect venue, a curated guest list, a theme that just fit. We were not at all prepared for the terrible news. The venue would no longer accommodate us. We were left scrambling trying to figure out how to make our plans still work! After a harrowing few days, we decided that we wouldn't be able to enjoy our wedding day to the fullest if it was to be full of compromises. Not the venue of our dreams, but a second choice. Not the perfect plan, but a not-so-bad one. In the end, our decision to cancel the celebration entirely was very difficult but ultimately our best option. While we will still marry on our date, we will postpone our celebration until a better time.
