It all started with a swipe on a dating app. We instantly bonded over our love for the Timberwolves and Jake knew right away that Carlee was the one. Fast forward to now and Carlee proudly admits she was googling stats and what to say the whole time! By that point, it didn't matter. Jake was already hooked. Our first date was about as awkward as first dates get, with Jake giving Carlee an awkward side hug and Carlee's first words to Jake being, "sorry i'm just really nervous". Surprisingly, we both agreed to a second date, where Carlee made Jake eat Jalapeños and onions, and for anyone who knows Jake knows just how much he hates both of those foods, but he ate them for her. After that, we spent pretty much every day together, until we surprised our parents after dating for just 5 months, and telling them we were moving in together, a move that could have either gone horribly wrong or absolutely fantastic. If you're reading this right now, I'm sure you could guess that it turned out to be the best decision we have ever made. Over a year later, Carlee was constantly giving Jake a hard time about proposing, and growing frustrated that he seemed to be making no progress. Little did she know, he had already had the ring for quite some time, and just thought it was funny when Carlee would get all riled up about it. On December 17th, Jake popped the question to Carlee, outside in front of some Christmas lights. Everything went perfect, besides Carlee having a hard day at work and not really even wanting to go, a transit bus parked right in front of the exact spot he had planned to do it at, and finally Jake being so nervous that he didn't think about where he parked, causing Carlee step into a snowbank when she got out of the car and walk through a big puddle to get to where he wanted her to stand. She never saw it coming. Our love story has been one of chaos and laughter, and neither of us would have it any other way. We are so excited to spend the first day of the rest of our lives with you and hope to see you at Rolling Ridge Wedding and Event Center on 11/21/2026
