Akron Coffee Roasters
We start each and every day with a fresh cup of ACR! We subscribe to a delivery service and receive beans at our front door once a month, though that isn't always enough. We frequently stop in for coffee, though we always have to remember they are closed on Sundays!
Akronym Brewing
Located right between the reception venue and hotel, this brewery makes a great stop for anyone looking to pass the time before cocktail hour begins!
El Patrón Tequilería & Cuisine
If you have time to make a stop at El Patron, do it! I love their classic margaritas and guacamole. We can't wait to spend our summer on the patio as it overlooks the spot where Dan proposed.
High St. Hop House
This bar is our favorite on the list, probably because it is connected to a unique and delicious pizza shop called Totally Baked. This older building has many connected rooms that lead out back to a small patio we love to enjoy in the summer.
Lock 3 Park
The downtown park is undergoing a major renovation in the fall of 2022, so TBD on any impact to these suggestions. But it is surrounded by some fun Akron hotspots like The Peanut Shoppe for snacks and candies, The Chill for delicious ice cream, and the Lockview restaurant that serves gourmet grilled cheeses with a fun upper patio.
The Spotted Owl (Akron)
We absolutely love this fire station-turned bar. With hand-crafted cocktails and a gorgeous renovation to the building and patio, this makes for the perfect spot to cozy up with friends.
