I first noticed Rae whenever she would film me eating spinach at dinner. Yes, I used to eat large bowls of just plain spinach because I thought it helped me to get bigger and stronger. I never cared how it looked even if people would pester me about it, “Dude, how do you eat that much spinach!” Except for this one girl named Rae. She didn’t bother questioning me. Instead, she would run up to me at dinner and pump me up, “Eat that spinach!”, all the while sticking her phone in my face for her instagram stories. I actually loved that she would do this and I looked forward to each time we both were at dinner so that she’d film me. I didn’t know what to say, I just knew that I wanted to get to know her because I thought she was cute. So finally one day I asked her if she wanted to go on a run with me around Chicago. We went on runs, begun to hang out with the same friends together and then over the summer, we stayed in touch with letters while we were both away from each other. By last September, I was finally ready to ask her out. Instead of a run, this time he asked me to go 'study'. I said, "yea". When we finished our homework, he asked me to hold his hand. I said, "no, we aren't dating". He proceeded with, "can you give me a couple of days". I said, "sure". A week later, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I said, "duh". We held hands. We spent our final year at Moody completing our degrees and going on many adventures. It went by so fast and it was the best time of our life. We realized after soaking up all the things we've learned while dating we wanted to be with each other past college, but for life. One week before graduation he asked a really good question, "would you marry me?". I said, "yea".
