Hinge is a dating app that prompts users to create a profile, upload photos with statements and/or questions that are related to the photo to start a conversation with the users. “Hinge Did It” is a phrase that Candice and Sean use when people ask where they met. On October 27, 2021 Sean was scrolling profiles, swiping left and right, looking for his potential next date. He came across Candice's profile and scrolled through her photos admiring her photos and seeing if he was able to find a reason to start a conversation. The photo that caught his eye was Candice on an ATV. Under the photo read "Can you guess where I am?" It took Sean no time to respond to the question with "You're in Puerto Rico at the Carabali Rainforest Adventure Park.” Responding to Candice's question led to the couple exchanging numbers, continuing conversations and getting to know each other. After 2 weeks Sean asked to go on their first date. They decided to go bowling so that they can express their competitiveness from multiple trash talking conversations. Needless to say they never bowled that night. They both had one drink each and engaged in conversation about their child Sean Jr and Bryson, current topics, hobbies, goals, and aspirations.
