Austin and I met in high school but lost contact after he moved to Trenton. We reconnected when he moved back to Des Moines summer of 2017 and made it official a few months later. My dog Ollie decided he liked Austin enough we could keep him so August 2019 we moved in together. Ollie would later come to regret that decision when Austin let Mom come home with a new sister-cat Lenny. Thanskgiving week 2019 Austin and I took a trip to Chicago. I thought something big was coming but by the last day I had given up hope. The last thing we were doing on our trip was going to an NHL game, the Chicago Blackhawks versus the Dallas Stars, “OUR” two favorite teams. Before the game we walked to ice level to watch warm ups. While I was oogling my hockey husband Austin was trying his hardest for my attention but I wasnt giving it to him. Eventually I turned to realize he was trying to be my real life husband and as you can tell I said yes! Austin, Ollie, Lenny, and I are currently living in Des Moines, where he works for Old Dominion Freight Line, and I’m working at Family Tree Care. We are loving life as a family of four and cannot wait to see what the world has in store for us next. We are so excited to get married in September and hope that you are all able to come and celebrate with us.
