Things To Do

Historic Downtown Snohomish

1024 1st Street, Snohomish, WA 98290

Beautiful and historic buildings line the riverfront in downtown Snohomish, with many charming antique shops, small storefronts, and local restaurants and cafes. Rebecca and Scott love to visit here on weekends for coffee and antiquing.

Snoqualmie Falls

6501 Railroad Ave, Snoqualmie, WA 98065

This is a beautiful and popular waterfall about an hour south of our area. Easily accessible via a paved path at the upper viewpoint, or choose to hike 1 mile or drive to the slightly more strenuous lower viewpoint. Parking is free, and other great hikes, attractions, and food are available in the nearby towns of Snoqualmie and Issaquah. This is an activity that is great for all ability levels. Rebecca and Scott have each visited the upper and lower viewpoints on crutches (on separate occasions).

Al Borlin Park Trail

Al Borlin Park Trail, Monroe, WA 98272

Are you looking for a nice, easy forest walk? Al Borlin Park is a wonderful place to get a taste of the giant trees in Washington and is a favorite place for Rebecca and Scott to go for a nature walk in Monroe!

Wallace Falls State Park

14503 Wallace Lake Road, Gold Bar, WA 98251

Wallace Falls is one of Rebecca and Scott's favorite hikes in the area! Wallace Falls has great views of a waterfall and a great workout! They do require a Discover pass or pay a day pass fee at the parking lot.

Everett Marina

481-457 14th Street, Everett, WA 98201

Want to visit a waterfront? The Everett Marina is a beautiful area to walk around and check out some cool boats. On occasion, Scott and Rebecca have seen seals in the water!

Bridal Veil Falls

WA 98251

Bridal Veil Falls is a stunning waterfall that Scott and Rebecca frequently visit. If you are looking for a more strenuous hike, this one will give you a great workout!

Pie Dive Bar

921 1st Street, Snohomish, WA 98290

Want a unique local restaurant to visit? One of Scott's and Rebecca's favorite places in downtown Snohomish is the Pie Dive Bar! Rebecca highly recommends the chicken pie, and Scott always gets the steak. If you're looking for a flavorful dessert, the banana bourbon is fantastic!

El Paraiso Mexican Grill Monroe

14090 Fryelands Boulevard, Monroe, WA 98272

This is our favorite place to go for happy hour! We love their house margaritas, Scott enjoys the steak tacos, and Rebecca is a sucker for the fish tacos! If you are craving Mexican food, we highly suggest El Paraiso! Happy Hour every day from 3-6 and 9-close.

Centennial Trail Pilchuck Trailhead

5801 South Machias Road, Snohomish, WA 98290

If you're looking for a place for a nice paved trail, Scott and Rebecca love walking the Centennial Trail. They usually start with getting coffee in Snohomish, parking near the library, and then going for a nice hour-long stroll!

Snohomish Valley Golf Center

8511 Marsh Road, Snohomish, WA 98296

Rebecca and Scott enjoy visiting the Snohomish golf center for food, drinks, mini golf, and the driving range. The golf center rents golf clubs and offers inexpensive range buckets. Reservations are not required, although weekends tend to draw a large crowd

North Cascades National Park

WA

North Cascades National Park is within easy day-trip distance of Snohomish. Many hikes of varying difficulty are available, or you can enjoy the beauty of the Cascade Mountains from the scenic North Cascades Highway. The highway is reliably open in June, but early-season conditions may be present. Rebecca and Scott loved the scenic drive and walking across the Diablo dam.
