Starting at the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge, Georgia, riders take a four-hour, 26-mile roundtrip journey along the Toccoa River through the North Georgia countryside. The first leg of the adventure takes riders on a one hour trip to the quaint sister towns of McCaysville, Georgia and Copperhill, Tennessee, nestled deep in the mountains on each state’s line. Passengers enjoy all the towns have to offer during a two-hour layover before taking the one-hour return trip through the scenic forest and back to the depot in Blue Ridge, Georgia. For our adventure seeking friends and family! Here you can find some great, free self-guided tours that let you explore Georgia's Blue Ridge from your car and on foot (or on bike or boat!). There are maps of scenic drives, hiking points, and biking routes. There is also options of where to find waterfall access points. You can also find things to do on the Toccoa river and Lake Blue Ridge. There is maps of local shopping and restaurants.
Located in the Chilhowee Recreation Area of the Cherokee National Forest. Benton Falls Trail is an easy 1.5 mile (each way) hike to the 65 foot waterfall. From Highway 64, turn on NFSR 77 (sign says Chilhowee Recreation Area) and drive 7.2 miles. There are several overlooks to pull off and enjoy with long range views of the mountains and Parksville Lake. Turn right into Chilhowee Day Use Area. There is a $3 day use fee here.
About 21 miles from Ellijay on hwy 52 is a spectacular 729 foot falls, the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. There is an optional trail that provides stroller and wheelchair access to the trail. Also a strenuous 8.5 mile approach trail leads from the park to Springer Mountain, start of the Appalachian Trail. The falls is located in one of Georgia's most popular state parks.

Blue Ridge Adventure Park has four aerial courses to play on. There are over 50 obstacles ranging from moderate to extreme difficulty. Some of these obstacles are 125+ feet long ziplines. All of the courses allow you to go at your own pace and are self-guided while wearing a harness, helmet and gloves. By appointment only, you must make reservations.

Enjoy a birds eye view of tumbling cascades to then cross the river and get a close up view on this short hike at Carters Lake Recreation Area just outside of Ellijay, Ga. Good for kids and dogs, this easy trail is an excellent way to explore this scenic waterway. 1.1 miles round trip& 30 minutes
Built in the 1870s, this Victorian-style house is the first family home established in the downtown area. Friendly volunteers lead tours, recounting their own historical stories while detailing the numerous artifacts exhibited in the house. The free entry Tabor House features late 19th-century furniture, civil war weaponry, documents, relics left behind during the early 1800s displacement of the Cherokee Native Americans, military veteran flight suits, and other objects donated by local families. You might even catch actors bringing the museum’s historical tales to life.
