Cocktail Attire is perfect and we recommend to be comfortable to dance! For men we recommend suits & for women we recommend dresses at any length. Hillary will be wearing her wedding dress before changing into a party outfit and sneakers and Matthew will be in his tux! Feel free to bring sneakers to change into to since there will be plenty of dancing!
8:00 PM to Midnight all at Maritime Parc
When you arrive at 8 p.m. the party starts! Matt & Hillary will be doing a short first dance, followed by speeches from their fathers, a parent's dance closed out with the hora. During this time bars will be open, passed appetizers will be shared as well as the pasta station, charcuterie & crudite station. At 9 p.m. the rest of the action stations will open and during this time friend speeches will occur. At midnight we will head to the Hudson Hound Bar in Jersey City for whoever wants to join the after party.
Although we will not be doing a formal seated/plated dinner, we will be serving passed hors d'oeuvres, live action stations, deserts, and a midnight snack! This includes pasta, tacos, asian food, and a carving station with steak, chicken and salmon! Food will be available at all times of the party so please enjoy at your leisure.
We have reserved the back room at Texas Arizona, A Penn State Bar in Hoboken. Our reservation will begin at 6, please arrive sometime between 6:30-7 as it will be a popular spot for the watch party and although we have a reserved section they are encouraging us to arrive early. There will be plenty of TVs with sound on! GO PSU!
The Hora is a traditional Jewish Dance at wedding's to celebrate the couple. Most importantly everyone can and should participate, Jewish or not! All you have to do is form circles around the bride and groom and move in a circle holding hands with people around you. You can also help swing or dosey doe people around you. And if you are willing and able we encourage you to come help lift up the bride & groom in chairs
