Hi friends and family, Courtney here! If you ask Joshua to tell the story of how we met, he will tell you that when we sat in Mrs. Alessi's fourth grade class, he tried so hard to be my friend and I painfully denied him. He will never let me forget it. I am certain that is what he will tell our kids one day. Fast forward to our days at Lockport High School, this is where our story really began. As 10th graders, we could not have been more different, but as they say, opposites attract and we quickly became the best of friends. The summer before 11th grade, Joshua asked me to be his girlfriend and after some thinking, I happily agreed. I was so terrified to tell my dad, but now they could not imagine life without each other. I loved attending his hockey games and he was always cheering me on at track meets and dance recitals. From our senior prom to graduation, we started to realize that we would get married one day...Joshua will tell you that he knew all along. He patiently waited for me to finish college and one week after graduation, we traveled to Myrtle Beach- our favorite vacation spot, where he asked me to spend forever with him as his wife. Anyone who knows Joshua knows that he is very confident, but let me tell ya, I have never seen him so nervous in his life!! I knew he was up to something. He even arranged for my best friend to be there to be apart of the proposal and of course capture all of the Instagram-worthy photos. From the ups and downs of our teenage years, college, and everything else that life has thrown our way, our love for one another has always continued to grow. We cannot wait to become husband and wife and share our day with all of you!
