FAQs

Question

What should I bring to the wedding?

Answer

Party stuff! I.e. goofy glasses, headbands, glow sticks, etc. A light jacket Yard games if you have them Want to make your wedding gift to us a cake or pie to share? Let us know!

Question

Do you have hotel recommendations or a room block?

Answer

Yes. There is a Holiday Inn within easy walking distance of the venue and we have a room block reserved under "Hill-Hauser wedding". We recommend looking at the current rate online first and asking for that rate (still within the room block) if it's cheaper than $210. If you plan to stay in Silt and avoid driving after the wedding, this is a great location. Glenwood Springs has a lot of decent hotels and more fun things to do in town and nearby. The Hotel Colorado is a cool historic hotel in the heart of downtown Glenwood, but there are a variety of other good options.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We generally prefer to have just our friends and family at our wedding. However, we're considering plus-ones on a case-by-case basis - especially if they'll be a fun addition to the party!

Question

Can I use my cell phone during the wedding?

Answer

We ask that you be present in the moment and do not use your cell phone during the ceremony, particularly to take pictures or videos. We are paying a photographer to capture these moments. You are welcome to take pictures and videos during the reception, and encourage you to share them with us.

Question

What is the wedding attire?

Answer

The closest match we could find for our desired attire online was "mountain semi-formal". For guys, this means a button-up shirt, maybe a sport coat, and slacks (nice jeans are OK too). Gals can wear a dress, with a jacket or sweater in the evening. This is a true Western Colorado location so cowboy boots are a plus!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is sufficient parking at the venue for our guests! Although carpooling is recommended for a variety of reasons.

Question

Should I only get gifts on the registry for the bride and groom?

Answer

Our registry provides suggestions for items we'd like, but please feel free to get items other than what's listed (we don't need $50 champaign glasses). We also encourage you to donate to our honeymoon fund or think of a creative, artsy gift.
